Anyway, a lovely and cozy day. So cozy that I fell asleep this late afternoon while the kids watched a Charlie Brown Christmas show. So they helped themselves to a couple more. Oops!:)

Advent: Day 3
Snow, and lots of it! The big kids played outside for over an hour this morning after breakfast and then came in for hot chocolate and lesson time. The Cox fam came over for lunch, more snow play, and then Emily helped them make snow cream! Yum! Next up was making "advent treats" (as Aviana called them) for our bird friends. Peanut butter and birdseed pinecones and popcorn and cranberry strings to hang in the cherry tree. We sure love birds around here. I always wish my grandma were here to watch birds with us and marvel at how lovely and entertaining they are.Love to you! Jen

Looks like you're having wonderful, full days!! thanks for the encouragement to feel thankful instead of overwhelmed... I kind of feel the latter : / on another note, what is the advent calendar you are getting your scriptures from? I feel like our Christmas is already rather secular : ( [telling myself to breathe here, it's only Dec 5, there's time to turn it around]
