For all those who couldn't be there but wanted to be...

Joel's graduation speech. It was great one. Full of heart and humor--which is pretty much him in a nutshell:) Jen

That was great Joel! Maybe you should think about running for president next... We're so happy for you guys. Oh and I hear Dallas has a high demand for brilliant PA's. You know you want to come back to the motherland! :)

My first thought after watching your speech was how sorry i was that I was not there to see you go through all you went through to finish so strong. Then I thought, but I was there to see you encourage and protect your sweet wife through a very difficult labor and delivery. I watched as you quietly entered the house after studying next to the incubators that held your precious babies that seemed to be clinging to their little lives. How did you even concentrate enough to learn during that time. I saw you weep and rejoice almost daily as you and Jenny rode the roller coaster of the NICU. You have both had some tremendous losses and some amazing joys and I am so proud of you both. The class of love...I have never seen God's love so real as the 3 months I spent with you.
Love,
Mom

I have had the privilege of working with Joel in different settings in the past but never saw the speaking gift exercised. Thanks for posting this, Jenny.
