Tonight Amelia "saw" the moon for the first time. She was up later than usual and we went outside to chat with Joel while he worked in the yard. The moon was shining bright and I said, "Amelia, look. That's the moon. " Well, that's all it took. She has a new love. I think she must have pointed at it and said "moo, moo" about 50 times. Even as I finally put her in bed she pulled her bottle out of her mouth and said one last, "Moo." And with that, all of the fussiness and frustration of the day faded away. All that will be remembered of this day is a fabulous family bike ride and Amelia saying hello to the moon. Here is a little taste of her newest vocabulary--the little bit that I have captured:

Wow. Sam And Amelia are growing up fast . I enjoyed my time there so much and wish you were closer . The most amazing thing when you all were growing up is when overnite it goes from new words to sentences ! So get ready it will not be long . Luv you all,
Dad aka Papa
That was great to catch the Moon moment. I love the excitement over things we can overlook. Makes us stop and be aware of soooo much.
Lots of Love
Awwwww.
I tried to teach Stella that the moon is also "la luna" - now she calls it the "moona". :D
Oh my breath is taken away by my little precious neice TALKING!!! OHHHHH. Hi Amelia!!! Hi Moon!!
And I loved how Amelia looked at Sam like she was kind of sharing a joke with him that she could do "1" with her finger now.

Oh my goodness Jenny. She is so so sweet. Dave & I got such a kick out of that video. "moo moo moo"
You'll have to tell Joel one of Micah's first words was beer. Not even kidding. We still laugh about it. I was doing the dishes one night and Micah toddled in to stand next to me. He goes "daddy beer...daddy beer." I was like "Did daddy send you in here to get him a beer??" and all the sudden I hear Dave in the other room going "THIS IS THE PROUDEST MOMENTS OF MY LIFE!!" The moon is a way cuter story! :)
But it was funny the other day we were passing the beer isle at the grocery store (with several people around us) and Micah outloud, very loud, says "Buy daddy beer mommy... Buy daddy beer". I'm thinking, okay what are we doing to our son?? :) I'm sure those mothers around me were wondering what in the world we teach our children. Kids- they say the darndest things!
I can't even believe we are listening to the babes TALKING!!! and I think I see Amelia signing desperately at the moon...is that correct??? I, too, love the way she looked at Sammy with a gleam in her eye...actually she literally looked a lot like Sam at just that moment...her grin! And for the split second we got to see Sam, he was looking pretty proud of his Sis! I can't believe Amelia says "brudder"...how cute is that! And look at all that curly hair...now where might she get that???? :) :) gma
I see the moon and the moon sees me . God bless the moon and God bless me...Grammy
I remember when Mia first discovered the moon... she took the paci out of her mouth and held it up to share. She always wanted to give bites of her things to the moon, or let it have a nice pull on paci. So sweet!
